Day 8
JUNIOR & SENIOR INFANT Classes
Today is our second last day with Toni so we do our best to finish our Art Cartoons. Toni brings in a Giant Board for each of the groups and we stick down our scenes. we have to make sure that we stick our scenes in the right order so that our stories make sense. It's a lot of sticky, gluey work but we all get finished. We're not sure what we'll be doing for our last day but Toni says it'll be fun!
5th & 6th CLASS
VIDEOS: We never realised just how long it takes to make a video. All the recording and re-recording if someone misses a line or the camera mic doesn't pick up what the actor has said...
Toni shows us some special features on a video editing program she has on her laptop, things like increasing/decreasing the volume, changing the colour of our video to black and white or sepia (an old fashioned brown), so we 'll think about using some of those to finish off our videos. We're running out of time though...
ART CARTOONS & STORYBOOK:The story typing is complete (Toni says she'll print out the text for us) and our images 'match' our story. All we have left to do is put the whole lot together, the Art Cartoons will go on long pieces of cardboard and the Storybook will be put together using paper and ribbon. Only one more day to go with Toni but we're well on our way to being finished.

Day 7
JUNIOR & SENIOR INFANT Classes
Today we draw on our scene paintings. We add in more detail using a black marker. Sometimes it can be hard to paint small details like eyes on a face or buttons on a coat so the black markers help us do that. We can write words if we like, or draw smiles, anything we need to help our scenes become a part of our Art Cartoons.
5th & 6th CLASS
Today, we develop our ideas from our written stories. Each Video group starts to practice their stories out loud, we have scripts and have brought in some props and costumes to help tell our stories better. We practice videoing ourselves and playing back to see what we can improve on.
The groups making Art Cartoons and Storybooks decide on using Colour Markers for their illustrations and one member of the group begins to type out the story on the school laptop. We make sure that the illustrations and the writings match.
